Beautiful Smile Dental

At Beautiful Smile Dental, we pride ourselves on bringing patient-centred technologies into our dental clinics. Our dentists are especially interested in innovations that provide patient education and comfort.

We have taken the time to list some of our popular technologies below. If you have additional questions about these dental care innovations, we welcome your call.

Intraoral Cameras

An intraoral camera is an ink-pen sized camera that takes pictures from inside your mouth. These images can be resized and displayed on a chairside monitor, allowing you and your dentist to chat about findings or recommended treatments.

Intraoral cameras, in other words, allow us to show you problems that may be developing, including oral health conditions that may present without discomfort or symptoms.

This technology also helps to educates you about the nature of specific dental problems and enables you to make informed decisions regarding your care.

Additionally, intraoral camera technology helps you understand why a specific treatment plan is recommended.

With this patient-centred tool, you literally see exactly what your dentist sees during your dental health exams.

Electric Handpieces

Once upon a time, dental instruments were jarring, bulky and disruptive. Fortunately, advances in technology mean that today's dental instruments can contribute to an easier dental experience.

Our electric handpieces are designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind. Electric handpieces gently treat dental issues in delicate, as opposed to broad, strokes. In other words, precision is the order of the day when it comes to electric handpieces. They are also quieter, which many of our patients appreciate.

Nitrous Oxide

At Beautiful Smile Dental, we never want fear or anxiety to stand in the way of your dental check-ups. While our dentists are very gentle, we understand that some patients need a little extra insurance when it comes to easing fears. For this reason, our dentists off nitrous oxide.

Nitrous oxide is a relaxation gas delivered through a small nose mask, and it is typically safe for adults and for children. When your procedure is over, we remove the mask and the effects wear off within a few minutes. You are safe to drive yourself home and enjoy your day.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

The COVID-19 pandemic has slowed, restrictions have been lifted, and we are eager to invite patients back into our stringently sanitized dental clinics.
