Invisalign Clear Braces

If your teeth are not as straight as you would like them to be, we can help. If you’ve considered orthodontics, but do not want metal brackets and wires, we can help with that as well.

Crooked teeth not only detract from the appearance of your smile, but an uneven bite can also have a negative impact on your oral health.

Dr Jim Moutos and Dr Jason Eng offer Invisalign in Walkerville and Richmond. This clear alternative to metal and wire braces is ideal for adults who want a straight smile, but do not want the silver.

Invisalign typically corrects mild to moderate:

  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Twisted teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Overlapping teeth
  • Gaps between teeth

Is Invisalign Right for Me?

To learn whether Invisalign is the right option for your smile, we encourage you to arrange an exam in one of our dental clinics. Your dentist examines your smile, takes x-rays if no recent or relevant films are on file, and talks to you about your smile goals.

When all parts of your exam are considered, it is easier to make the right decision for your smile. If Invisalign turns out to be the right choice for you, we take a series of dental impressions. Invisalign uses these models to create a series of custom aligners for you.

You wear each aligner for approximately two weeks (22 hours per day) before changing to the next in the series. When you have exhausted the supply, your Invisalign therapy is complete. Because the aligners are clear, you can watch your teeth come into alignment across the months, which can be very exciting.

Your Walkerville or Richmond dentist will determine how long you will wear your aligners—months or up to two years.

The Benefits of Invisalign

Aside from being discreet, or virtually invisible, there are oral health benefits to Invisalign as well:

You can remove your aligners when eating, brushing and flossing

Straight teeth are easier to care for because there is no overlapping where bacteria can hide or collect
An aligned bite may mean less wear on your tooth enamel, which can lead to fewer cavities and less chance for breakage.

Protecting Your Investment

Following Invisalign therapy, you want to make sure that your teeth remain in their straight positions. To help with this, your dentist provides a custom retainer. This appliance reminds your teeth that upright and straight is their new normal.

At Beautiful Smile Dental, we believe that a smile is the most beautiful thing you can wear, which is why we always want to protect yours.
